How to wake up early ⏰

If you wake up late, feel less energetic and tired of snoozing the alarm, here are some practical ways to wake up early in the morning.

Why you should wake up early

1.Before sunrise our focus, concentration, mental clarity and peace of mind is at the peak.

2. Early morning is the time of less distractions our mind are also the calmest making it a time of absolute focus and productivity.

3. The environment is undisturbed and pure, an ideal time for yoga, meditation and workout, etc.

Ways to wake up early

1. Sleep early

Let’s accept that to sleep early is a bigger challenge than to wake up early. But if you manage to sleep early half of your job is done. Obviously it’s easier for a person to wake up at 6 AM who goes to sleep at 10 PM. You can set an alarm 1 hour before sleep that remind you to sleep.

2. Don’t use your phone or other gadgets

If you say why don’t I feel sleepy at 10 pm well that’s because these gadgets interfere with our natural sleep tendency. Once turn off your gadgets 1 hour before sleep, switch off the lights and see how your body fall into slumber.

3. Calm your mind

(i) It can be done by reading a book.

(ii) You can listen to a soulful music.

(iii) You can take a cold/ hot shower according to weather.

(iv) Or you can massage your feet with sesame oil.

(v) You can meditate or you can do  some breathing exercises.

(vi) You can drink lukewarm cow milk 30 minutes before sleeping

4. Have your dinner early

Have your dinner early and light. If you overeat or eat junk food you are reducing your chances to wake up early. It’s because lot of energy goes in digesting food.

5. Avoid drink after 5 pm

Avoid stimulating drink like tea and coffee. They can disturb your sleep cycle.

6.Avoid working out in the night

Exercising too late in the evening can cause an increase in energy and alertness making it difficult fall asleep.

7. Create a strong morning routine/ find a reason for why you want to wake up early

A holistic morning routine has three M’s:-

Meditate ( Meditation)

Movement (Exercise)

Mastery (study/ anything you want to learn)

8. Bonus tips to wake up quickly from bed

•Keep your alarm away from the bed

• Tell yourself what time you want to wake up 5-10 times just before sleeping.

•Get out of the bedroom immediately.

• Light on just after waking up.

• Wash your face.

• Vigrously rub your palms continuously for 1 min. And then place them on your eyes.

•Drink warm water and drink it slowly.

When you wake up early definitely you will feel like a little out of energy on 1st day, but don’t give up and don’t sleep in afternoon infact it will help you automatically sleep early in night.And in few days your body is used to new rhythm.
